ACE Life Egypt 

Mr. Said Hathout joined ACE life in October 2008 as the Operations Director for ACE Life Egypt.

Said has ten years of experience in the field of life insurance. Before joining ACE Life, he has worked in regional insurance companies in the Middle East and his main tasks included:

4      Managing all Life technical sections (Individual and Group Life, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Claims, Policy servicing, Receipt Administration, Surrenders, Maturities…)

4      Negotiating better treaty conditions (rates, covers…) with leading International Reinsurance Companies.

4      Studying and Implementing security controls regarding all Life Insurance activities in Head Office as well as in the branches.

4      Development of long term strategies regarding Life Insurance Business by setting-up long term objectives and identifying the path to be followed in order to achieve them

4      Product Development (Concept, Rates, Administration, Wording…) in coordination with Actuary and Sales Manager.

Said was actively involved in strategic changes such as:

4      Completely upgrading the life product line from conventional endowment products to flexible unit linked competitive products.

4      Changing the administration IT software from AS400 to an Oracle based application capable of handling the complexity of unit-linked life products.

4      Developing the sales structure by introducing the Agency/Unit approach with the respective commission and overriding commission scales according to each level.

Said graduated in 1997 from the Lebanese American University and got a BS in Business marketing.

In 1999, Mr. Hathout got his MBA in Business Administration from the Lebanese American University.
